Who We Are

MotoKapture is a motorcycle photography education brand operating at motokapture.com. For the purposes of data protection law, MotoKapture is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: [email protected].

What We Collect

Email Address

If you subscribe to our newsletter or join a product waitlist, we collect your email address. This is stored in Mailchimp (a US-based email marketing service). We use it only to send you the content you signed up for — technique guides, preset releases, and field notes. We never share or sell your email address to third parties.

Purchase Data

If you purchase or download a product via Gumroad, your transaction is processed by Gumroad Inc. We receive your email address as part of that transaction. Gumroad's privacy policy applies to that interaction. We use your email only to fulfil your order and send relevant product updates.

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where traffic comes from. This data is anonymised and aggregated. We do not use it to identify individuals. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data (see Cookies section below).

Technical Data

Like all websites, our server and Cloudflare (our CDN provider) automatically log basic technical data including IP addresses, browser type, and pages requested. This is used for security and performance purposes and is not linked to your identity.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under the following legal bases under GDPR and equivalent international frameworks:

  • Consent — for email marketing (you opted in)
  • Contract — to fulfil product orders
  • Legitimate interests — for analytics and site security

Cloudflare __cf_bm — bot detection and security. Session cookie.
Essential No tracking. Required for basic site function.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling Google Analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use this site. To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Data Retention

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our list. If you unsubscribe, your data is removed from our active list within 30 days. Purchase records are retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes.

International Transfers

MotoKapture serves a global audience. Our service providers — Mailchimp, Gumroad, Google Analytics, and Cloudflare — are US-based companies. Data transfers to the US are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and each provider's compliance with applicable data protection frameworks including GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA.

Third-Party Services

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

We may update this policy as our services evolve. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
